Common questions

How do I get back to the home screen?

Press and hold anywhere on the screen for about a second. A quick tap only plays, so a child tapping away stays where they are. A reminder shows for a moment each time a screen opens.

Can my child buy something or end up somewhere else?

Not from inside Beamling. There are no purchases, no links and nothing that leads out of the app. The Digital Crown and side button still work as they always do on Apple Watch — no app can turn those off.

Does it need an iPhone?

No. Beamling runs on the watch on its own, with no iPhone app.

Does it make sound?

No. It uses gentle taps on the wrist, which you can switch off on the home screen.

Which mode should we start with?

The modes are in order from simplest to most grown-up: Colors and Shapes for the youngest, then Animals, Match and Puzzles as they grow.

Nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and nothing is sent to us. See the privacy policy.

The plan is $3.99, once, for everything. No in-app purchases and no subscription.

No. Not in this app and not in anything else we make.
